Other than its propensity for constantly changing weather, Melbourne and Victoria held me captivated. I didn’t have anywhere near enough time to explore, experience and immerse myself in all this part of Australia has to offer.
With just 5 days, we chose to spend most of it in the countryside, in the Macedon Ranges. We visited and stayed on a working organic farm near Daylesford, trawled through the largest second-hand warehouse I’ve seen yet, rode around Woodend and stayed in the sweetest country cottage, wandered through Kyneton’s shops. No trip to this area was going to be complete without wandering through the towering rock formations that make Hanging Rock so famous.
Melbourne city is a food and art lovers paradise. I was in food and art heaven! Stayed in Prahran and rode throughout the city, especially Fitzroy.
